National Go Topless Day

Saturday, August 23, is National Go Topless Day, an event put together by the women behind GoTopless.org, as a nationwide protest honoring the Constitutional right to bare breasts. Women should have rights equal to men, and if men can bare their breasts in public, women should be able to as well!

Also check out this post on Nerve.com for a convenient summary of the day’s events in the city nearest you.

The latest video from Icelandic rock band Sigur Rós, "Gobbledigook", is absolutely fantastic. It’s a must-see for fans of nudes in nature. The music is excellent too.  Gobbledigook is the first single from their new album "með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust" ("with a buzz in our ears we play endlessly"), which will be released in late June.

600 Nudes on a Glacier

Nude eco-warriors
Spencer Tunick is a New York artist famous for staging photographs of large nude gatherings in public places. His latest work of art, sponsored by Greenpeace, took place on Aletsch glacier in Switzerland last Saturday. About 600 nude volunteers formed a “living sculpture” in an effort to promote awareness of climate change. Most of Swizerland’s glaciers are expected to disappear by 2080 as a result of global warming. The temperature during Tunick’s photoshoot hovered around 50 ° F (10 ° C) - there must have been lots of shrinkage (and erect nipples).
