The majestic elephants of Africa have been plummeting in number due to the demand for ivory. Tens of thousands are killed every year. But you have a chance to help. Thailand’s Prime Minister will soon decide whether or not to ban the trade of ivory throughout her entire nation. On Sunday, the prime minister will address representatives from 177 governments gathered in Bangkok to discuss global wildlife trade issues, including the elephant poaching crisis. The World Wildlife Fund presented the prime minister a petition signed by more than 500,000 concerned people asking her to stand up for Africa’s elephants.
